Skanderborg moves towards smart mobility: A success in parking management

The city of Skanderborg, Denmark, known for its cultural offerings and large-scale events such as the Smukfest music festival, was facing a growing challenge: traffic congestion and difficulty finding parking, especially during large-scale events.
This problem not only affected daily mobility, but also compromised the experience of residents and visitors, aggravating congestion on the main access roads and parking areas.
To address this challenge, Urbiotica, in collaboration with our partner ATKI, developed a comprehensive parking management system.
Para abordar este reto, Urbiotica, en colaboración con nuestro partner ATKI, desarrolló un sistema integral de gestión de estacionamiento. Se implementaron sensores magnéticos y cámaras en las áreas clave de estacionamiento de Skanderborg para detectar en tiempo real la ocupación de los espacios. Además, se instalaron 22 paneles informativos en las principales vías de acceso a la ciudad, proporcionando información visual actualizada sobre la disponibilidad de plazas de estacionamiento y mensajes personalizados para guiar a los conductores hacia los espacios libres.
