Calvià is a tourist destination located in southwest Mallorca where the Smart Island Congress has been held since 2017, a global event that welcomes more than 1 million visitors per year.
The solution
The project in Calvià involved deploying U-Spot sensors in the parking spots along with message signs.
The beach and entertainment areas were equipped with wireless, autonomous U-Spot sensors in the parking spaces, along with digital message signs at the key decision points for drivers. They also have an app that shows the availability of spots for persons with reduced mobility, as well as spots for other users.
