Solution for truck parking guidance at GZA RHEINFELDEN, SWITZERLAND to improve access and optimize space.
Improving the use of reserved spaces for trucks
The customs clearance complex in Switzerland had space problems, as there were more trucks than could be parked.
This caused queues on the access bridge, which could lead to an accident.
With the installation of the sensors, drivers can be informed of available parking spaces and the volume of trucks can be monitored to see if the parking lot has reached its maximum capacity.
The project in Switzerland consisted of installing 123 U-Spot DUO sensors to inform truck drivers of the parking situation.
Thanks to the installation of the sensors, truck drivers can be informed about the status of the parking lot to prevent them from blocking the access bridge if no parking is available.
To achieve this, there is a system that informs drivers in the waiting areas before the parking lot about whether or not they can cross the bridge to enter it.
