Truck parking guidance solution in GZA RHEINFELDEN, SWITZERLAND to improve access and optimize space.
To improve the use of parking spots reserved for trucks
The customs complex in Switzerland had space problems, as more trucks were arriving than could park there. This led to lines at the access bridge, which could cause accidents.
With the installation of the sensors, drivers could be informed on the number of available parking spots and the volume of trucks could be controlled by informing them whether the parking lot had reached its maximum capacity.
The Switzerland project consisted of installing 123 U-Spot DUO sensors to inform truck drivers of the status of the parking lot.
Thanks to the installation of the sensors, truck drivers can be informed about the status of the parking lot to prevent them from blocking the access bridge if no parking is available.
To achieve this, there is a system that informs drivers in the waiting areas before the parking lot about whether or not they can cross the bridge to enter it.
