Urbiotica promotes the digitization of the parking lot at La Torre Outlet

Country: Spain
Project of: Parking guidance
Main products: Counting sensors
The challenge

This success story demonstrated that it is possible to reduce the time it takes to find a free space for customers at La Torre Outlet, the most digitized shopping mall in Spain.

La Torre Outlet has bet from the beginning on technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), Big Data and artificial intelligence to improve the experience of its customers based on data obtained in real time. Of course, this digitization could not leave out access to parking, so the mall’s management sought a way to manage its nearly 2,500 spaces.

Thanks to Urbiotica, they can now transmit occupancy information instantly and guide their customers to available areas so that they do not spend more time than necessary on this part of the visit.

The solution

Intelligent monitoring with Urbiotica counting sensors

The successful project carried out at La Torre Outlet includes the implementation of 55 counting sensors distributed in the 7 parking areas of the shopping center.

Urbiotica’s proposal equips the La Torre Outlet shopping complex with a total of 55 counting sensors that allow monitoring the entry and exit flows of the 7 parking areas available on the site for customers. These devices are complemented by 9 variable signage panels located at strategic points to guide users to the available areas in the different zones.

In addition, all the information obtained is centralized in the U-Admin management platform, which is intuitive and easy to configure so that those responsible for this service in the shopping center can access it in real time and improve the complex’s operations.

Benefits of implementing this solution
  • Greater rotation and use of parking spaces.
  • Reduction of internal traffic generated by the search for vacancies.
  • Improving the shopping center customer experience.
  • Increased customer loyalty.
  • Reinforcement of the brand image as an innovative company.
