Smart curbside management arrives to Toronto, Canada
The challenge involved testing various technologies in extremely cold conditions with the aim of enhancing curbside management.
It sought to address traffic congestion and the lack of available spaces. Additionally, the goal was to ensure that the technologies used were robust and functioned properly under very low temperatures. Despite the adverse weather conditions in Toronto, the project was successfully completed, demonstrating the resilience of Urbiotica’s technology.
The project in Toronto, implemented with our Canadian partner Electromega, focused on deploying smartU-Spot sensors to improve curbside management. Through the installation of these devices, real-time information is collected on parking space availability, allowing drivers to access updated data and reduce time spent searching for parking. This initiative aims to enhance parking efficiency, reduce traffic congestion, and contribute to a smoother and more sustainable driving experience in the city.
