The challenge
Streamline the search for parking at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Barcelona to make it easier for employees to park and facilitate their daily commute.
The new Amazon Fulfillment Center (AFC) logistics center in Catalonia, which is expected to create 1,500 permanent jobs in 3 years, will offer large parking areas for its employees.
In order to facilitate daily commuting, the building located next to Barcelona’s El Prat airport has included a parking guidance system.
It is the second AFC center equipped by Urbiotica after San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) in 2016.
The solution
The Amazon Barcelona project consisted of deploying 7 U-Flow capacity sensors and 2 dynamic message signs to show the free parking spots.
