The challenge
To make it quicker to find parking in the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Barcelona in order to make it easier for employees to park and thus to simplify their daily commute.
The new logistics center, the Amazon Fulfillment Center (AFC) in Catalonia, which plans to create 1,500 steady jobs in 3 years, will offer large parking lots for its employees. With the goal of making their daily commutes easier, it included a parking guidance system in the construction of the building located near Barcelona’s El Prat airport. This is the second AFC center equipped by Urbiotica after the one in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) in 2016.
The solution
The Amazon Barcelona project consisted of deploying 7 U-Flow dapacity sensors and 2 dynamic message signs to show the free parking spots.
