2024 has been a year marked by important technological advances and projects that consolidate our commitment to sustainable and efficient mobility in cities. We have worked to meet the growing needs of our customers and the industry, especially in the area of parking management and regulatory compliance. We have also demonstrated how the analysis of real parking usage data can transform decision making, generating significant savings and improving the efficiency of urban solutions.

- New features of U-Spot VISIO: Now allows the detection of vehicles in unmarked areas, such as open fields or uneven terrain. This improves the management of complex spaces, reducing costs and providing accurate data on occupancy and vehicle type.
- Evolution of U-Spot 3.0: More efficient sensors with improved connectivity thanks to LoRaWAN and an integrated Bluetooth module, facilitating maintenance tasks and opening doors to new functionalities, such as user identification.
- U-Flow VISIO: A new vehicle counting sensor that combines cameras and artificial intelligence to monitor entrances and exits in real time. This system covers up to four lanes with a single camera, reducing costs and ensuring data privacy compliance (GDPR).

It has been a very interesting year in terms of projects, both nationally and internationally. As an outstanding project we would like to highlight the one in Valencia: where the City Council has completed the implementation of a project developed in two phases with a total of 2000 sensors to improve mobility and the control of the correct compliance with parking regulations in parking spaces for loading and unloading and PRM.
In addition, we would like to highlight cities such as Requena, Blumenau, Ustka, Almeria, Skanderborg and Salamanca, whose smart parking projects have been key to improving local mobility and promoting the well-being of their citizens.

We have had the opportunity to share our innovations and make ourselves known at some of the most important industry events. We have been present at Intertraffic Amsterdam, Smart City Expo Barcelona and for the first time, at IPMI in the United States. At these events, we have presented our innovations, launched our new partner program, and our CEO and COO were invited to participate in several talks, sharing our vision and experience of more than 15 years in the industry.

One of the most outstanding success stories of 2024 was the project implemented in Burlington, Canada, in collaboration with our partner Electromega. In this framework, we had a very constructive discussion with Stephan Camm, Municipal Parking Operations Supervisor, and our partner, who shared how Urbiotica’s solution allowed them to optimize the use of existing parking spaces. Thanks to this strategy, they were able to avoid the construction of new parking areas, thus achieving cost optimization by relying on real data on the use of the spaces provided by our system.

With this data, Burlington is designing a parking management plan that will guide its next steps in mobility.
